Harajuku Morning with Onegai Kaeru + Kiki and Lala Cafe Kawaii Dinner Party with Caro, Shojono Tomo and Kumamiki!

Hello guys~ good afternoon from Japan! 😀

I have been going out to meet friends and partners the past few weeks.  :blush:

For this week though, I’m going dedicate my time for work! So many backlog huhu ~

All I can say is that my teammates and I have a lot to reveal these days! 楽しみだね〜!:D

Because I feel so haru~(spring), I went pastel and floral!

Was too early for a meeting in Harajuku so I decided to stroll around~ I missed mornings such as this!

Strawberry + potato chips = why not?

Who is Kawaii Girl?

I’ve been wanting to write and share my thoughts about “Kawaii Girl” but it’s only today that I’ve finally found the opportunity and drive to do so.

Originally, I was just planning to share the photos below from our mini shoot (thanks LucyPop Japan!)..

… but might as well share what I think of “Kawaii Girl”.

Some photos below may not be related with the captions but I hope you’d still get what I mean. 😀

For me, Kawaii Girl isn’t just a pretty face. She isn’t just the really really cute girl with a small waist, skinny legs, big eyes, and the like.

She isn’t just the model you see in the Japanese fashion magazines. The internet superstars / selfie queens on instagram.

Kawaii Girl can be an average girl as well.

She could be a highschool student, a 12 yr. old manga fan.. a 27 yr. old company employee.

She could be any other girl.

For me, cuteness in terms of appearance does not make anyone automatically “cute” in the overall sense.

I’ve met countless of “kawaii girls”, and I could categorize them between two:

Chotto Kowai and Totemo Kawaii

(“Chotto” means “a little bit” while “Kowai” is “scary” in Nihongo, hehehe).

#truestory :))

(Is Totoro Kawaii or Kowai? Haha :P)

Ramen and Cupcake Time with My Creative Team

Yesterday, one of my dreams in life (to be a Creative Director in a somewhat-agency) came true.

I finally had a not-so-formal formal meeting with my lovely teammates (who are also my Kawaii Lovin’ friends)! We’re just a small team of Kawaii (Japan)Lovers but I believe that each of us is great in our own forte. Yayyy.. small but terrible team! :)) Terrible in another sense, of course, haha!

To commemorate the day, I decided to treat them with yummy ramen from RYU Ramen & Curry (a new restaurant near our area)! Hopefully someday (*next year* *crosses fingers*), I can also bring them to Japan so we can all enjoy eating ramen together there (with MishieWishie flying for us all the way from NY too, haha!). Our angel investor (my brother) has been very supportive of our projects ever since I started JapanLover.me with just ChiChi and Mishie (which gave birth to many ideas).

Even if our budget is super constricted, I am proud to say that we have been maximizing everything that has been given to us! ;__;

:happy:

My dreams are getting bigger and coincidentally, I’m meeting people who share the same visions that I do. Amazeballs! ;_;

Achievement unlocked! <3

After our 2-hr. stay in the Ramen place, we finally finished the first half of our meeting! :))
