What do you love most about Japan? The unique combination of tradition and modernity, since you can find an ancient shrine just a few steps away from the ultra hi-tech Akihabara district. The Japanese embrace their rich cultural history, yet are also completely open to new esthetic concepts and ideas. The kawaii movement is a good example. A kimono-clad Hello Kitty is a perfect one. :-)

What do you love most about Japan?Well that’s definitely a difficult question to answer. There are so many things I love about Japan. I spent a good hour thinking about what I might say to this. The answer I came up with was broad, just as my love of Japan is. I love Japanese history above all else.
Just like most people, I got into all things Japanese through anime and manga. I was watching anime before I even knew what it was. At some point when I was a young girl, a relative gave me a geisha barbie as a present. I asked my mother with big eyes what a geisha was. I was entranced by the colorful and complex kimono on the doll. I spent many of my afternoons then on studying about geisha and the romantic heyday of samurai warriors before the Meiji Restoration.
Eventually I went off to college, where I am now, and am now working on my minor in Japanese history. I’ve since learned that the movie and book depictions of samurai was romanticized and dramaticized. But, as I discovered the real history of Japan and uncovered her blemishes and scratches, I only fell more in love. The real human struggle of samurai after the warring period was over and their spiritual quest for purpose… the dynamic of wealth and respect for the disliked merchant class… a life lived behind simple paper doors and brilliant flashes of kimonos. Even with all (or most) of the over dramatic interpretations of Japanese History dismissed, the truth of the events still hold a powerful mystery and romanticism that keeps me continuously hooked.
I could literally talk for hours about how and why I love Japanese history, but I’ll stop this now for fear no one will read through my whole post! It all boils down to the mesmerizing and hidden geisha, the loyal and brave samurai, the three daimyo who unified an entire country, and the many other characters that have made Japan the country that I and many others love today. With my intimate knowledge of Japanese history, I cannot help but feel like a part of Japan will always be inside me. I feel her pain and I understand her struggles better than most outside of the island boundaries. And for that, I love Japan the most.

What do you love most about Japan?
What I love about Japan the most is the fashion. No matter what, most the people who I have seen and talked to aren’t afraid to wear what they want and be who they are and I love it. I find it even better that are more so (Probably a lot more) accepting of different things than in America. I also love the Gundam that was recently taken by the tsunami.

July 25th, 2012 @ 1:52 pmWhat I love most about Japan is the fashion of course~! From sweet lolita to visual kei to fairy kei— you can just be whoever you want to be. Every day you can wear something different that fits your mood, and you can always mix and match the cutest and most edgy pieces from Japan to create your ideal ‘you.’ The fashion from Japan helps me be me, and it helps me stand out so I can be noticed by those who normally think I’m invisible.

What do you love most about Japan? I have a love affair with Japan. Although I have not yet been able to visit there, I enjoy it vicariously through various forms of media. If I’m not studying blogs for fashion inspiration like TokyoFashion & of course, my very favorite Rainbowholic (haha
), I find myself watching obsessive amounts of anime, reading manga (just finished Fruits Basket
), or playing games like Tokimeki Memorial
! I also have an extensive playlist on youtube with all of my favorite Jpop songs! My current favorite artist would have to be Akiakane. The bad part is, I cannot speak Japanese, and yet I find myself singing in Japanese ALL the time! (haha
) I also enjoy going to anime conventions yearly & cosplaying my favorite characters. This year I will be cosplaying Keroro from Sgt. Frog! Hopefully it will be super kawaii
teehee. So, while I cannot choose one particular reason why I LOVE Japan, I have to say I at least love Tokyo fashion, otaku culture, & ALL things kawaii! And most importantly our favorite Japanese fashion angel, Rainbowholic!
Thank you for being a part of my daily inspiration! (& reading my extremely long comment! :x)

4.What do you love most about Japan? I love Japan for everything that it is. The culture, the trends, the history, the art, music, everything. I know that is really broad, so I will try to sum it up. I love Japan because it is unique and unlike any other place. It is modern, but ancient. It is reserved, yet outgoing and in your face. It values tradition, but still respects and accepts new things. And no matter what, Japan has always had the ability to take something and make it its own. Music, fashion, food, culture, trends, objects and inventions in general. They always take these things and expand upon them, but it is never repetitive, they always take these things and make their own mark, make it their own while still keeping the original essence of it. You know what this thing (or style, show, food, etc.) is, but you definitely know that it came from Japan :3

What do you love most about Japan? What i love most about Japan is the pure oddness of somethings like the panties in vending machines is so hilarious! and i love the fashions because it’s feels like to me someone went into my head and made my thoughts into a fashion and to see other people that dress and like the same things as me helps me not to feel so alone. Even though i live in America ,to feel so comfortable in a culture so far away is amazing to me. i feel that is the magic Japan has for some people and that’s what i love most about Japan is the magic it seems to have :)

Respect and how they enrich their culture is the one I unbelievably I so so heart.I know japanese as one of most individualistic people on earth. They always give everything individuality and uniqueness. They are also obsessed about every details because as for them, every details matters.

4.What do you love most about Japan:
Honestly that is a very hard question for me to answer because I don’t think there is anything I dislike about Japan. Everything seems so different and fun compared to things here in the U.S. The culture is simply fascinating, the fashion is unique and cute, the music is totally something different, and just the flow of the life there seems nice. But overall I think I love the music most about Japan. Especially vocaloid.
I stumbled upon vocaloid about a year ago and I was simply fascinated. I mean, they were robots that sang! I couldn’t believe how real they sounded considering well, they’re just a work of technology. Since then, I engrossed myself into the world of vocaloid. The art was amazing, the songs were out of this world and the fashion that they dress the vocaloids in were stunning.
I know this has nothing whatsoever to do with your giveaway but that’s what I can only think of at the moment. I love Japan!
Hope to win !

What I
love
most about Japan is their diversity and strength. When it comes to Japan’s diversity, on one street there might be people dressed in traditional kimonos/yukatas and then you turn the corner and might run into a beautiful woman/girl dressed in lolita fashion. Japan’s amazing strength is inspiring even to a girl like me in a small town in Tennessee.

…That’s actually rather challenging to answer!
Even though I’ve never had the opportunity to visit (yet!!), I’ve been enamored with the country and its culture since I was very young. As a country, Japan seems to wear so many faces…its rigid, unyielding, yet passionate history of war; the innate spirituality of their customs and rituals; the enthusiasm for progress as industrialization draws us out of our past; the light-hearted, playful sincerity with which they approach the themes of the present…even though, as with every country, it also has its darker sides, I believe I shall always feel a kinship to Japan. It sounds silly to say so, but it is what I feel in my heart.

What I love most about Japan is pretty much a brain melter for me. I’ve basically been obsessed with the culture since i was a kid. My mom took me to a festival when i was a little girl and made me my own kimono from some curtains
Ever since then I’ve been intrigued with the magic and wonder that is japan. I guess that is what i love the most, the Wonder and Wow factor of it. Tokyo is a hustle and bustle type of place everyone is just so busy, but when y’all want to have fun you go all out! Not in any other place in this world will you find fashion walks, or girls in Lolita dresses with so many layers she looks like a cupcake
I cant read/watch anything to do with japan without getting giddy and dreaming about the day i can move myself there. I’m glad there’s a place in this world where everything doesn’t have to be so serious, people can express themselves in avaunt garde clothes and activities:3 I can’t wait to be apart of it! And thank you for allowing me to see Japan through your eyes! Its been amazing!

July 25th, 2012 @ 10:59 pmWhat do I love about Japan? I love Tokyo’s night life. While going to Univeristy there, I definitely experienced the city’s night life a little more than I did any studying. The clubs were sometimes uncomfortably packed, but people were always incredibly polite, even when they were attempting to ask me out to a Love Hotel in Gotanda. It was a fantastic change from the rowdy, impolite, and drunken men in the US. My best friend and I frequented Club Camelot in Shibuya, and so long as it is still there, I plan on returning to it on my next adventure for graduation.
Another thing I love and miss are the Lawson’s and 7 i Holdings. I miss the ability to just walk down the street no matter the time and pick up a hot bento, onigiri, or a delicious “amerikan doggu”.
And speaking of food, I love Japanese vending machines! I cannot deny that a lot of my funds went into those machines at school, at the dorm, on the way to the station, and at the station.
I love Japanese bath houses. I visited one in my neighborhood a few times after hearing that it was on the verge of closing, and I think that is one of the things I miss the most about Japan. It was always a nice, relaxing thing to do after classes with my friends.
I love Japanese phones! I have a Mirumo from Softbank, and I adore it. I held onto it after moving back to the US, though now I have an iPhone, I still might have to use it if I get the opportunity to return long term.
Most of all, I miss how quiet the trains were. I love using trains as my main transportation, but in the US, people are noisy and rude, and their conversations are usually more suitable for a private room. I very rarely ran in to any issues on the trains in Japan~

From their culture to subculture, food, fashion, entertainment, places, SAKURA!!
and their language. I also love the way Japanese express their feelings or some of their philosophical thoughts
and represents those in different mediums like songs, drama and anime/manga. o-wa-ri

You see people on the streets wearing the most outrageous, colorful, crazy clothes, and it’s completely normal! No where else in the world do you see that! And you see that sense of style everywhere, in the music and celebrities, in anime and manga, and even the crazy, cute food! I think that’s part of what makes Japan so appealing, and you see people trying to mimic that style overseas, especially at the anime/cosplay conventions, because it’s so out there and cool!

I love Japan’s flow. It is a hard thing to describe, but it is such a peaceful place in comparison to my home country, even in the cities. Whether it is true or not I don’t know, but there is a general feeling I got just from walking around that everyone is fairly satisfied with life. It is more orderly; everybody moves the same, and rarely is something out of place, in the way, late, etc. Even sharing roads and paths with cyclists in Japan wasn’t a major issue as it is in other places! Or maybe, it is just an illusion that happened because I was really happy, like I hadn’t been before. Either way, I think it is worth mentioning :)

Japan is an interesting country. I ultimately love Japan’s culture. Their historical culture has been kept alive up until now. Seeing Japan’s people wearing such beautiful yukatas is just amazing. I can’t help but wonder how they do it. I hope Filipinos can do it also. Then I love it in Japan because people are just so expressive of themselves and their styles. Fashion=Japan. These two different cultures of Japan is remarkable. I love how their historical and modern culture has been mixed properly. Just perfect! Animes and kawaiiness are just a plus of what I love most about Japan… ;)

What do you love most about Japan?
Yes, people ask me this question, A LOT. Actually, I would really like to ask them to take a nice sit and have a popcorn or something, because I, myself, dont even know how long it would take for me to explain all the things that I really love the most about japan. Yes, all the thingS. Plural. It’s just the same case like when people ask me ‘Who do you like the most in arashi?’ (Yes, I was a HUGE fan of those 5 rainbow puking unicorns <3). All the 5 of them have their different charms, and all of their charm works for me. Like in their TV show, Ohno never catch my attention, Geez, he's barely awake to catch the cameraman's attention. But when he's dancing or singing, it's a WHOLE different story. Same goes for the other members. They have their own ways of catching attention, and all of it are just so unique. Choosing only 1 of 5 of them are just impossible for me.
And now, I really need to stop before I start talking about the other 4 members of arashi.
The first thing that I adore from japan soooo much is Japan's Color Burst. And yes, that's a personification. Last month, I just went to japan for an exchange of 8 days. I went to Osaka, Kyoto, Hagi, and hiroshima. And I dont even know how to describe it. Every little things in japan are just soooo memorable.
I've been wanting to go to japan all my life, blame it on anime and a book of disney. I dont remember it well, about what's in the book, it's all written in japanese and I just love the book for the beautiful pictures of Tokyo Disneyland. I really love the book to the extend that the page come off
Then my father finally said "Dont open it to often! This book is really expensive!" Indeed, I can see it from how well made the book is. After that, my father hide it in his wardrobe and I never see that book anymore :(When I first set my foot in japan, it was around 6am or 7am in the morning. Despite me being in 8 hours flight and the worst breakfast I ever eat in a plane, I couldnt help but being SUPER excited. GAAHH remembering it, I feel so lucky that I didnt explode.
I was soooooo excited riding when I'm riding my first train in japan! It was SO AWESOME! And not to mentions the eye candies that you can easily found on train, DUH! Yes I'm a fangirl of cute boys! <3 The most memorable was Hagi and Hiroshima. Hagi is a small town located on the southern part of japan. It was the place where I spend 3 days in a high school as exchange student. WAS TOTALLY AWESOME!
Before going to school, I was really worried like how the kids will react to me, am I going to get friends (I'm socially awkward to the core) and etc. But when I get there, It was totally different from how I imagine it! They welcome me so much! The first day I went there was around the end of school time, and there was like an assembly in a hall, and I was wearing my country's traditional clothes called Kebaya and perform a simple dance. Than, I was also forced (LOL) to wear my kebaya and goes to my class for the next 3 days. The person who's "in change" of helping me called Miran. She was really happy when she confirm that I can speak a elementary level of japanese! AND THAT WAS MY FIRST TIME TALKING TO REAL JAPANESE IN NIHONGO! She praised me that my japanese if really good! And my class' teacher too! and no, you have no idea how happy I was having a real japanese person recognize my skill in talking in nihongo!
Next, move to Hiroshima. This is the town where I mostly walk around by walking. It really gave the feeling of Japan the most! The Pace that they walk by, the sounds of footsteps from highheels that's apparently REALLY popular with women in japan, the chatter around, the music from the big screen on building, and the voice of bicycle. It was really awesome! All of it! I got a free time for shopping there. Well, I was planning to buy some souvernirs for my family and friends, untill I saw Uniqlo logo in a department store-look-like. and It was a HUGE mistake *_* There was sooooo many cute things that I almost cry
. I even found a section where there are so many anime stuffs *_* I promised myself to buy a chopper figurine, but when I get there, I couldnt even choose and in the end I didnt buy any figurine buy an illustration book of K-on. I certainly didnt know that one piece is THAT popular to the extend I I couldnt even choose because there's too many *_* After getting out of that department store, we walk around and I enter a shop because I saw a platform shoes. I was seriously about to buy it, but I was too scared that I wouldn't fot my luggage
but then I FOUND THE ALL MIGHTY BONE PANTYHOSE THAT I WAS SEARCHING SINCE THE FIRST DAY I WAS IN JAPAN. I also found a cute cat backpack and a moustache ring for a really really cheap price
Until that time, I still didnt know what store that I'm in. Untill I pay for the things I bought and I got a plastic bag with KYARY PRINTED ON IT! And I finally realise that I'm inside one of the shop that I really wanted to visit in japan, Spinns. And would you believe me if I said that I ask for the plastic bag that my friends have that have kyary's printed on it. One of my friend even call me 'beggar'. Because I even collect the food packaging that I didnt even eat. Like Chocobi, and the gummy candy that have chopper printed on the plastic, etc. It's so cuteee
Huff, let's go to the next thing that I love love love the most about japan. Their Fashion, obviously! even I look at myself and I feel really like a beggar. I didnt prepare much cute stuffs, japan inpired fashion, as I thought I'm not going to Harajuku, means that I wouldnt have much chance of being fancy as a foreigner. But I'm really impress by people in japan! Well I couldn't really say that I like all of their fashion styles. But they definitely didnt just take the most uppper clothes in their wardrobe. They put SO MUCH effort in their fashion and they really have personality in it. It's really something that you cant compare to my country where fashion culture is really low (Sorry! but that's how I see it, fellow indonesians). And Last but not least from this really short rant about fashion in the southern part of japan, HOW DO 80% OF WOMEN ALWAYS WEAR HIGH HEELS
please tell me… I remember how I almost die because my feet hurt so much when I wear my 5cm wedges to mall walking in 2 and a half hour. and the next one is what's going to be the last one of the things I love the most about japan : The awesome Seiyuus and their NFLKAJSNDALKSJDNF AWESOME VOICES. For the sake of Mother of Cuteness. I dont even know how to give more emphasize to how I really respect those Seiyuus. It's really REALLY awesome when like you can find a mutual thing between 2 characters of different anime. And sometimes, it's between 2 characters that you really couldnt guess! Take example of Takahashi Hiroki.My first anime that he voiced was Katekyo Hitman Reborn. His character's name is Squallo, a guy who's ALWAYS shouting like HELL. Seriously, I might gone deaf if he's my brother or something. This charater's voice is a little bit hoarse, like when you're lack of water. But he's also a voice for Eiji Kikumaru from Prince of Tennis, whose voice is just CUTE and CUTE. I cant even…. ;;A;;
and Actually, I would still be gladly typing all all all the things that I really love about japan, but I feel bad spazzing at someone's blog

-I was never fond of Japan growing up until I was given the opportunity to visit the country myself. Everything about this beautiful nation is reflected on their humble beginnings deeply rooted in their culture that has been of much influence to me. I was an honor for me to start learning the language myself and falling in love with the people and what it has contributed to the world: Honor, Love and Respect! Believe it or not, I became even more nationalistic for the love of my own country since they model such great padronism for their own. So if you ask me it’s their culture that speaks for itself and allows me to take a walk in their shoes ^__^

Japan probably has the most unique, colorful, and eccentric culture out of all the other cultures every other countries have. What makes their culture a lot more interesting is how they manage to come up of quirky ways of setting up trends and that is what I love most about Japan, the trends they set.
It has come to my attention how every subculture in Japan were actually influenced by other cultures but Japan had managed to set those ideas into something that will make it a lot more interesting. the youngsters in Japan is also popularly known for the eccentric outfits they wear but are also deemed to be normal for Japanese people as it has also been part of their culture. From Goths, Decora, to Punk,Visual Kei, and most subcultures, these can be found in Japan. These has given a lot of people a way to let them to be themselves and express themselves into how ever way they want with their style of clothing. This does not only limit to the usual trends and subcultures you see in Japan. A lot of different styles and subcultures have been emerging because of how different cultures and ideas influence one another that help people discover their style of their own preferences.
Japan has inspired a lot of people into becoming unique and have always promoted originallity and creativity not only in style and fashion but also in other areas as well where originality and creativity can be applied.

What I love most about Japan is how creative and expressive their culture is! I love how you can wear almost anything you want in the streets and many people won’t look at you like you’re crazy. I love how everyone seems to have a super unique style and how friendly strangers on the street are. It’s just really fascinating and calming to me when I see someone from Japan express themselves in fashion or even in emoticons
My love for Japan gives me the confidence to wear whatever I feel comfortable in in my own country. No matter how many strange stares that I receive from passer-by’s I know that somewhere out there I wouldn’t be judged so harshly. I adore Japan.

Since I was a kid, I was realized that Japan has a great sense of art by watching anime, reading comic and dorama. I love the way they drew manga, created every character and built the story.
And, I was “introduced” to Hayao Miyazaki’s movies and again…I’m amazed. It’s not just about the story but deeper than that.
Then, 2 years ago, I visited Japan for the first time. My brother lived in Japan for 11 years and married with a lovely Japanese woman. So I was stayed there and learned about their daily culture.
And I’m fallin in love….
They just not have a great sense of art, but they have a HUGE Spirit!!!
They are very passionate to everything. They appreciate little things. They appreciate people by saying “arigatou” every time, “otsukaresama” after finished work, and “ganbatte” to encourage other people. They have a super tasty yet healthy food that been cooked by passion and love.
And off course the FASHION! They are unique, they are dare to be different, they are original and become a trendsetter rather than a follower. They never judge other people by on how they look, but they respect other people to express who they really are.
I adore that!!!Two months ago, again I visited to Japan and it will always be my home. I love sitting in every corner, enjoying soft ice cream, looking inspiration and wearing things that I like without afraid that people will judge me on how I look.
Their spirit also encourages me to be more passionate on everything I do and to achieve my dream. That is why I started to learn nihongo since 1,5 years ago. I want to communicate and having sooo many Japanese friends.
The fashion itself, drives me to start open my own brand which called “ENJI”. I tried to make quirky fashion accessories that relate with Japan. You can see the creations, here:
http://facebook.com/ENJInokoto
http://enji-id.tumblr.com/Japan is inspiring me in so many ways. I want to create lots of things and share the fun things with all Japanese Lovers out there.
With my hard-work, love and passion, I will try myself to reach my dream, which is having my own boutique in Japan. Yosh! * ganbarimasu to myself *
Arigatou Japan
I ♡ U Japan! ☺PS: And thank you Kaila for inspired me so much.
Every person will pursue their dream if they believe and work very hard to achieve it. Ganbatte ne ^^

What do you love most about Japan?
I really loved Japan ever since I’m 11 yrs.old :D
When I was just 11, I was sooooooooooooooooooooooooo addicted to anime that I started practicing drawing some animes :D I watched several anime episodes then I saw what animes are doing like attending festivals wearing kimonos and cosplaying. so I said asked to myself “what country could this be?” so I start researching about it. then I found out its. Japan. I also searched about what is in Japan. I also spotted a pic of two girls wearing decora. so I was liked, “super creative. I want to wear it like this here in our country but maybe some people would found me like a christmas tree walking around”.So I just daydream wearing those stuff fits my personality much.I also searched about festivals of Japan. wahhh festivals. most in animes, I caught one anime that is fishing in a small pool in one of Japan festivals.I also wanna try it because we don’t have anything like this in our country.
I was 12 when I discovered about wa lolitas and Blythe dolls. Wa lolitas are super duper KAWAII!!!I wanna wear one someday here in a cosplay event in our country. so start saving up. Blythe doll, at first I was terrified.why? big eyes. but I was wrong. I found em cute and fashionable. I wanna have a blythe doll but why soooooooooooooooooo expensive T^T
I also found out about cherry blossom trees. so beautiful I wanna attend one of its blooming seasons. I really wanted to see a cherry blossom bloom.
I also discovered about lolitas. there sooooooooooooooo KAWAII!!!at first, I think em as kawaii maids. hehe. but lolitas are KAWAIIer that maid I think?but I was searching for the perfect lolita.
PURIKURA!!!!we have some here in our country but far away in our place T^TWHY!!! purikura is soooooooooo kawaii. if I’m already in Japan, Iwould have took purikura per week.Purikura is sooooooooooooooo colorful and kawaii. perfect for people who really is photogenic.
SANRIO AND GHIBLI ANIMATIONS.my first Ghibli I watch is Spirited away. I was soooooooooooooooo amazed with its art and animation.and one of my favorites about ghibli animations, howl’s moving castle. it’s soooooooooooo romantic, supernatural and fantastic.
In sanrio.this is why I really loved JAPAN the most. sanrio started in Japan. weeeeeeeeeeeeee I was sooooooooooooo happy to found out the answer.whoever created sanrio, you’re 4ever kawaii.CREATIVITY OF JAPANESE PEOPLE.lots of Japanese are really loved harajuku. waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah HARAJUKU.my first Harajuku idol is none other than Kuma Miki. she’s sooooooooooooo kawaii plus she is really creative. Japanese people are so free and creative, they could wear anything they want and when they wear harajuku around tokyo, many people will think there CREATIVE AND AWESOME.
Food.I’ve never tasted a parfait before, but I wanted to taste my first ever parfait in Japan :D most of Japanese foods are mouth watering and some are toooooooooooooooooo KAWAII to eat. hehe, like the neko ice cream ate kaila showed to us with her lolita date.waaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.
WHAT I LOVED THE MOST.
all the people in Japan are soooooooooooooo creative, sooooooooooooooooooooo free to themselves and sooooooooooooooooooo unique. the Japonista shoes, Japan only have it.people in Japan is soooooooooooo UNIQUE!! thats why I want to got to Japan someday. Now I’m preparing for my upcoming trip to Japan in the future. I wanna be like ate Kaila, who shares about her life in Japan. me I’m still in the clouds.daydreaming weraing those hrajukus and kimonos. wahhhhhhhhhhhh dream come true. maybe I’ll also cosplay in Japan when I arrived in there haha.
so anyway. don’t forget. JAPANESE PEOPLE ARE UNIQUE,CREATIVE,AWESOME,COOL,THE BEST,AMAZING,KAWAII AND KIND TO OTHERS. that’s why I really wanna go to JAPAN!!!
wait for me Ate Kaila :D
I’ll go to Japan to reach my dreams :D

July 27th, 2012 @ 6:43 pmfor me, japan is just fun. simple as that. most japanense people seem to know who they are and express themselves freely(anime, cosplay, etc.) without much worry about what others think of them (socks with sandals? YES!). they’re not afraid to be progressive and try new things yet they have such a rich traditional culture that everything just balances. their culture is so interesting! i feel that there are alot of people out there that dislike anime and/or just don’t understand cosplay. Maybe they’re happy that way and i’m fine with it, but for me, IT’S A WHOLE LOTA FUN. honestly there are so many times i’ve laughed and cried with animes that its helped me out a whole lot. I wasn’t always into anime like some fans can proudly say. I remember not caring for it when i was smaller. I won’t go into too many details here, but at two major low points in my life is when i got into anime. first when i was about eight (started liking it then i stopped for a time) and again when i was about 12 (and i still love it to this day!!). i didn’t realize it when it was happening, but i think anime is what kept me smiling and laughing despite anything that was going on in my life. I feel I can thank Japan for that! ** and cosplay? I’ve always thought it looked cool and enjoyable (thank Jin for that). i just cosplayed for the first time this summer and i really can’t wait to do it again for another con. I’m grateful that Japanese people creatd animes and started cosplaying(correct me if wrong) because these trends (for lack of a better term) are things i really enjoy.

Japan is such a beautiful place, it’s just sad that a lot of natural calamities happens there but that doesn’t make Japanese people down, it makes them more stronger :) One thing to describe about Japan is CUTE :3 Hehehe. I see a lot of Cute stuffs from Japan online and I want to get them. Their fashion sense is the best. They don’t mind other people’s opinion on about what they wear. They wear it confidently. I love the food, they’re OISHI!! ^_^ I love Japanese music also, J-pop, J-rock, RnB, Rap or Vocaloid. Whatever it is, they just give me eargasms :) Hahaha!! What do you love most about Japan?: I love everything. I love the place, the seasons, the fashion , culture, the people especially the music. I also love cherry blossoms so much and Mt.Fuji. The language too, somehow I’m learning the language by the apps on phones. huhu even though it is very hard. And I’m trying to learn Kanji too, i knew already katakana and hiragana, how I wish I could understand japanese so that whenever i read an article about japan or my beloved japanese idols I can understnd it without waiting for the translations. Since I’m going to college next year I’m planning to take up International Studies major in Japanese studies. so that i can work on embassies or I can go to japan for work. I wish to also wear a yukatta or any japanese traditional clothing huhuh If i had a chance i would :’( anyways. There are loads of reasons why i love japan. But it has been my dreamcountry to live in, the place where i wished to wake up at morning and see the land of the rising sun. I felt that I belong there or my heart belonged there eventhough I have a filipino blood :)

The mix of the diffrent culutre shapes, diffrent thoughts, countrysides, typs of climates and so on.
Since I am studing this country I am also in love with the language. When I tell somebody I learn japanes they ask me: It is difficult due to the many signs isn’t it?
I always answer: It is not. If you love the country and the laguage it is deffinetly not sifficult.I hope I can be in love with Japan for a long time.

Japan is so different than the US. I think the thing that draws me to Japan would be the culture. Here in the US we don’t really have any old traditions or special cultural things. I love the idea of doing something traditional that has been around for thousands of years. I also love the modern new Japanese way. The clash between tradition and modernity is quite amazing. Japan is a beautiful country. The people are amazing. I believe I will be a much happier individual once I move there. I am Japanese at heart. I love the individual fashions and how you can express yourself through what you are wearing. I’m learning Japanese so that I can go to Japan and teach english. I am almost done with my Bachelors degree and can’t wait to apply to teach english. I really want to embrace the culture and the language. I truly love Japan! Thank you so much for offering this opportunity to own a little piece of it!

I love Japan’s diverse culture and its mix between traditional and contemporary. I also love the Japanese people’s creativeness…. mean they have sanrio and Studio Ghibli and they have lotsa anime like One Piece
and they have such a variety of fashion styles :3 i like
Also the people seem to be very accepting of each other, accepting what people like and dislike and also making it alright to dress in whatever way you like.
Another thing I like about Japan is the food
They have really nice noodles and desserts…. I wish they had more in Australia :|

So yeah I am kinda forbidden of visiting Japan T____T But I will someday!! Gambarimasu!!! *determined*I also like places like Kyoto. Japan has very interesting places to visit!!! I also love their food especially noodles…I think I am a noodles-holic!!
As a matter of fact I frequently go to have dinner in Japanese restaurants available here. I also love their calligraphy and language…I am learning all by myself…I even bought phrase books!!! I also love origami!!! When I have time I just create stuff with paper!!! ^^
As I said before I am totally a huge fan of anime and manga and I even draw them myself. Last year I want to the Malta Comic con and I cosplayed as well!! It was awesomeee!!! Will definitely do again this year!!! so looking forward

What do you love most about Japan?
Just like most people, I got to know Japan from the entertainment; anime, manga, j-music, dorama, etc. Many that I’ve encountered make me feel happy and amazed, send me pondering, and/or give warm feelings in my heart.
Through all the years I found out; they inspire changes, they show how strong the influence of dreams.
Like ‘Tetsuwan Atom’, who inspired the advancement of robotics in Japan. The author, Osamu Tezuka, showed his dream future world, and it inspired robotics engineers who were once children watching Atom on television.
Or the more recent ‘Hikaru no Go’ that can make children and teenagers interested enough in a traditional game like ‘go’ to enroll in ‘go’ clubs and classes.Japan reminds me of the power of ideas and dreams, something that I hold dear in my heart to keep moving forward

after thinking or a while…. I can say that the one that i love most about Japan is the language. well, as a cosplayer of course I love Japanese manga and anime but the languange is just hngggggggggggggg ♥
Im not the type of person who likes to study, so its utterly unusual to find me studying xD but Japanese intrigued me
i dont know i find it utterly cute and everything asjfhdakf
it keeps me excited to find/ learn a new word in which i would go bleh if its in another language
I experienced speaking to a Japanese lady for the first time about 3 months ago in an interview for a student exchange program to Kishiwada and it was so much fun!!! we talk a lot in Japanese and she also compliments on how good my Japanese is, god I was beyond happy that time and remembering the other interviewee back then, they were dazed by two of us speaking japanese xD their faces were priceless XDDD
i submit my application for that program because i want to speak/ and learn more Japanese also the culture there with the host family and classmates there. I mean, speaking in Japanese really made my happy ♥
The interview went good, but that doesnt mean that i was chosen though, i was frustrated considering that i was really the only one who could speak Japanese on the group and i was super confident that i would be chosen at the end is not even on the list.
*sigh* osoraku its because i dont have enough service hours on my high school -_- damn ;___;
I kinda regret that i dont really do community service work now considering that i would get a chance to practice speaking there ;_; but at the same time, mad, i mean they picked people who only wants student exchange name in their college application over me who would know Japan and its whole better than them, (so there was this girl who being asked by the people there (they were having some kinda quiz) who is the japanese girlband that is really popular now in Japan and then she answered SNSD. and not even shoujo jidai gee, youre mistaken about Kpop and Jpop girl -_- )
omg i just realized that I was rambling this much asdfds akan yaaaaa
so yea, that was it and one last thing that i want to tell is that im currently in love with Kansai ben ♥ (btw thats also why i picked the osaka one —and also uh remembering kishiwada ==)and im not putting the details here cause i think i would be spamming here but you get the idea on how much i love it ♥
and excuse my writing. im not good at writing xD

What do you love most about Japan? What do I love most about Japan? Is it possible to say EVERYTHING?? HAHA!
I grew up with anime, watching Card Captor Sakura and UFO Baby — Hoping to someday, (though this might sound weird and crazy) rollerblade under a path of sakura trees(mind you that I have no idea how to ride in rollerskates!!). I love their culture, their language (proud to be studying Nihongo right now!! + I’m the iinchou of our class hihi), their food, Japanese fashion, THE BOYS (shout-out to the JE boys!!) and everything else, really. I also love how the people are so honest there (they say that you can leave something in one place and go back there the next day finding it still there). My relatives would tell me all these amazing stories of their trip to Japan and though I am honestly jealous of them, I’m happy that I’ve kind of “experienced” Japan through their stories.
Oh and if I was given only one thing to describe to show my love for Japan — I’d say their FABRICSSS(haha hi Ate Kaila!!). I’ve ALWAYS dreamed of going to Nippori (with Ate Kaila) someday and we’d splurge on all the fabrics and DIY stuff Japan offers. I love to sew — which is why I ‘d love to go to Japan and buy fabrics and cry because of all the beautiful fabrics and all. I love how Japanese people are so creative and no one judges each others’ style. I’d love to dress-up in Japan without any doubt whatsoever. Japanese Fashion is the best and I’m currently trying to adapt to it here in the Philippines (though I’ll be expecting a lot of judgmental looks from people haha).
Japan was never “some other country” to me — I’ve always thought that, though I’ve never been to the country, that it was somehow “home” for me as well. I’ve spent almost half of my life (literally) loving every single bit of Japan and I’ve always hoped and dreamed of someday riding an airplane, going all teary-eyed because I’m finally going to one of the most amazing places ever, and arriving their with flying colors (and of course, butterflies in my stomach).

What do you love most about Japan? So, good… I think it’ll be a little bit difficult to me to explain, maybe because I’m Italian, or probably because my love (for Japan) is so deep and strong, I mean… the people, the culture, the colour, the life, with all the lights and the shadows. The freedom, the open mind, something I couldn’t ever feel here, actually I know, I’m not so explicit, maybe, but suddenly I cry for all this, my tears of joy, of course is because of the love for Japan. Maybe someone think I’m a fool, a silly little girl, I don’t care… Sometime, because of this feeling I’m been sad and moody, because I’m never went there, I hope in the future I’ll do.

How Japan can be such an amazing, beautiful country filled with so many different people. The music is so different to western music and is so much better too! Especially the weird videos :D I love how the Japanese can be so adorable and sweet, and yet still get embarrassed at little things. I adore the clothes so much (I recently bought a proper Haori which I ADORE) and they are so much better than our clothes!! And then you have food, like POCKY! :D And the language too, it’s so amazing.
I love how Japan is so varied and yet so brilliant with the things they do. It is definitely my favourite country, and I envy those who get to go there and live there! I could go on forever about how much I love Japan but I’ll stop here :P I think the best way to explain how much I love Japan is this

What do you love most about Japan?I love the unique fashions that are derived from Japan. Despite not being Japanese myself, I also find myself constantly amazed by the way the Japanese interpret, re-interpret, and create fashion and art. The youth culture in Japan is vibrant, attractive, and most of all, FUN. It cultivates so many great artists of every field, and combined with the hard work ethic of Japanese, creates fashion and beauty unrivaled by any other place in the world.

When I was a kid, I remember that instead of Disney movies or fairy tales I would be watching ANIME (Sailor moon)
, Henshin-ing with the Kamen Riders and Sentai heroes before I even know they were called such
and reading books (such a sad fact that I was able to read the story of Little Mermaid before seeing the Disney adaptation) such was the start of my childhood
. I remember correcting my friends if they did the pose wrong lol
. But really, as I was growing up I got exposed to the Japanese culture more when my parents enrolled me in a Japanese school, so I spent my elementary years studying there and it was the place where I discovered the idea of minimalism, of bonsai
, of kimonos
, of yukatas, of sushi, of takoyaki, and everything else in between. Growing up in such an environment, I saw how much the Japanese took care of the environment, how polite they are, how passionate they were (heck my first Japanese teacher was around 80-years old, he would bring his cassette with tobacco on hand and we’d listen to some old Japanese music in his class)
and 2 years later I would learn that what they did was voluntary.
They were teaching Japanese to students in different parts of the world.
My love for the country and its citizen just increased more.
As I a young child I’d always listen to Japanese music not that I understand any of it.
But objectively putting it in words, Japan is a discipline country. In spite of a lot of disaster, the citizen remains calm and collected. I love the idea of garbage segregation.
3Rs!! <3 <3 The food are also in moderation, I mean not too salty (salt is really bad for your health, so please take it in moderation nee!)
. Also, they are really innovative when it comes to their gadgets while of course staying ergonomically stylish
. Ahh~ I have a deep relationship with chairs, tables and cabinets (any furniture for that matter)
I can stare at them for hours just admiring their design, and how ergonomic they are. I also love the European’s design but I think or maybe I am just plainly biased that the Japanese have the most stylish, simple and ergonomic designs.
Ahh, the colorful history of Japan tainted with blood, sweat, tears and happiness. If I could I’d like to time travel to Meiji era and watch silently the lives of the Japanese at that time. I want to see Samurai and Geisha tachi~
Japanese art, fashion and everything else in between, I admit a really love cute things. I cannot resist them, they are calling for me and I think when you visit Japan you will go deaf because there is too much kawaiiness! FUWAAAA~ *dies in the corner coz of kawaiiness* I love how Japanese seem really fashionable even if they just wear something that they hurriedly grab off the closet, maybe it just becomes in grained as they grow up to be fashionable (not saying that everyone is (haven’t gone to Japan yet) but most of the Japanese I saw that is).
*drinks Green Tea* Ahh~ Ghibli Animation! Kyoto! Osaka! Tokyo! Hokkaido! Digimon *digimon kid here*! AKIHABARA!
I can go on and on and on talking but I know there are so much that you have to read, looking at how the scroll bar is getting shoter! <3 <3 <3 Like what I have said before! Kaila, do continue to write! <3 <3 <3 Congratulations on your new endeavors! <3 <3 <3 Banzai!! <3

What do you love most about Japan?Japan is a creative country from anime to fashion to technology and all sort! But mostly, I love how they could freely express their artistry~ Most Japanese people aren’t afraid of what people would think about them. They’re not afraid to try. And that’s why I love their sense of fahion. It’s very kawaii and random most of the time =))) It’s like they can incorporate anything to it..
Ever since, I’ve been a really big addict to anything
:3 And so.. I’d really love to go their someday hihi
I also love their culture and how they act. Japan is a place where I can find most of the stuff that would amaze. Ever since I was young I’ve been really amazed by anime and japanese fashion. I’ve also attended a couple of cosplay events hoping to be an anime character for a day :) I’m overjoyed to see others create theses amazing cartoons~ I love how Japanese people are cute without even trying :3 I’d also definitely love the place~ and cherry blossoms hahahaOf course I love my country, the Philippines.. but another country I adore so much is Japan~

… I don’t know where to start, for the longest time I’ve just been in love with the country and culture ranging anything from Anime, cosplaying (\( ^3^)/ ~yay), karaoke and tea ceremonies to wanting to defer a year of college to live in Japan and volunteer. Its history is awe inspiring and their martial arts are so beautiful >////////^///<)/ <{thiiiiiiis much
