Last of 2014 & Start of 2015

Hello everyone! Konnichiwa ~

For today's post, it's going to be another overdue post, haha! Don't worry, this one will be filled with photos~

I'm so surprised that my bandwidth / 4G-hungry posts are usually the highly requested here on the blog. :O As always, I really appreciate everyone's patience just to get the whole post to load, haha!

Ohhh.. also~ I'm currently planning something for Rainbowholic (as a blog and a brand at the same time), and I'll be posting a survey here one of these days. Yoroshiku ne! : )

So let's start! :D

Last December 31, I spent the last day of my 2014 with a good friend (hi Justin) and his family!

It felt like a déjà vu because it was almost.. 2 years (?) ago when I also met them for the first time here in Tokyo.

*time flies wow*

IMG_4542_cb

We agreed to meet up at 9 in the morning. Or was it 10? I forgot haha!

I had extra time so I went around Harajuku to take some photos for updates ~

IMG_4632_cb IMG_4505_cb

Couldn't take a nice OOTD photo so mirror selfie. Haha!

IMG_4532_cb IMG_4628_cb

First time to use my favorite Samantha Thavasa red bag present I got from my brother!

Moshi Moshi Nippon Box in Harajuku ~

IMG_4527_cb

Obviously, someone was too early haha. I think it was my first time to go out after weeks again.

I am not a winter person. Hahaha

...

......

...........

And the reason we went to Harajuku together was because of this store.

(And probably the main reason why his family went to Tokyo, lololol)

IMG_4551_cb

IMG_4554_cb IMG_4553_cb

... and it was closed for holidays :))))

OMGGG hahahaha

IMG_4552_cb

At first, we couldn't believe the sorcery that happened haha. But we had to accept the harsh truth and move on with the day, lololol.

I could feel the disappointment that Justin (and his family members) felt.. since they were all excited to visit Toy Sapiens (a toy store that sells Funko Pop, Hot Toys, etc.).. only to discover that the store is closed for the holidays. : ))

But we all just laughed about it after, haha! And so many funny moments happened during a whole day of bonding. : )

...

........

After the fail moment, we had a mini breakfast and I brought him to my favorite place that sells oversized Takoyaki @ JOL Station. Then we met his family afterwards and had sushi for lunch.

Before that, we stopped by Kiddyland yay ~

IMG_4557_cb

IMG_4556_cb

IMG_4558_cb

IMG_4560_cb

I think that the reason I get along together with Justin and his family well is because... we're all toy lovers / collectors haha.

IMG_4563_cb

IMG_4565_cb

FINALLY FOUND THIS! Rilakkuma Deco latte <3

IMG_4566_cb

...

.......

IMG_4567_cb

Then I told them to try out the Magnolia Bakery Cupcakes ~

IMG_4568_cb

IMG_4569_cb

IMG_4570_cb

And take a touristy photo here. : ))

IMG_4571_cb

Since I'm not a HUGE fan of sushi and raw Japanese food (am I real JapanLover? haha)... it was my first time to eat in a somewhat~ premium sushi restaurant. I think that it was really premium though, since it was along Omotesando area hahaha.

My family here in Japan would always eat at Hamazushi, a fast-food kind of sushi restaurant... really different from the one in Omotesando, hehe~

IMG_4573_cb

There were some stalls preparing for the New Year's Eve too ~

After our short Harajuku stay, we all went to Nakano Broadway to check out the toys : )

IMG_4575_cb

PEKO-CHAN HUHUHU so cute

IMG_4574_cb

IMG_4576_cb

...

.....

And then after Nakano Broadway, we went to Shinjuku for Yodobashi Camera.

IMG_4581_cb

IMG_4580_cb

IMG_4584_cb

Can somebody explain this photo to me? :))

..

....

After that, we decided to take a rest at their hotel near Tokyo Station.

Before we went back, I tagged along with them because they wanted to check out the Character Goods shop area..

IMG_4585_cb

.. and I felt so energized after seeing this standee of Cardcaptor Sakura, haha! My feet were actually hurting so much from all the walking we did.

IMG_4590_cb

One of my favorite stops, Donguri Garden!

IMG_4599_cb

THAT MAP WATCH HUHUHU I'll go back for you ;_;

IMG_4589_cb

When in Tokyo Station, don't forget to check out this area!

IMG_4594_cb

Pikachu, your cuteness is too arresting, lolol

IMG_4591_cb

Sailormoon Goods ~

IMG_4596_cb IMG_4597_cb

After checking out the goods and taking a rest, we decided to go to Roppongi together for dinner + LEGO clickbrick store.  :cheer:

Since there was also an ongoing Tim Burton exhibition, we just had to visit it~

IMG_4609_cb

IMG_4614_cb IMG_4607_cb

IMG_4613_cb

... After that awesome experience inside the Tim Burton exhibit, we hurriedly looked for a restaurant for our late dinner ~

I had to go home at around 11:30 PM for our NYE's dinner (courtesy of my sis-in-law <3) ~

IMG_4618_cb

Honestly, I think I chose the wrong pair of shoes (but for the sake of fashion lolol, I had to). I didn't expect that we would go around and check out many places. I guess when you're having too much fun, you forget about your pained body parts. Then you remember and start feeling all the pain once you've sat down and taken a rest. : ))

....

.........

IMG_4621_cb

And here's our NYE's very late dinner!! <3

IMG_4623_cb IMG_4622_cb

IMG_4626_cb IMG_4624_cb

... and after stuffing myself with more holiday food (and fats haha), we all went to sleep.

That was quite a memorable day! : )

 January 1, 2014

What's the best way to start your first day of the year?

Of course, a breakfast at your favorite cafe / restaurant ~!

IMG_4639_cb

Justin went to Saitama to visit us + meet everyone. Because everybody was still sleeping (I think they all slept at 4AM lolol), I was the only one who could meet him during the morning. I was also craving for Nana's Green Tea so I brought him there and toured him around Parco, my favorite mall here in Urawa.

IMG_4645_cb

now I'm craving again huhu

IMG_4641_cb

Justin is actually a food & lifestyle photographer (I think I've mentioned this before in my previous entries).. and you can check out his amazing portfolio at www.deliciousphoto.ph : )

After that, I showed him around Parco and I knew that he would like the "Niko and.." brand since he does prop styling in his field as well.

After that, my cousin fetched us from the station and he got to meet my brother again (they met together in Kawaii in Manila 2) and met my other family members for the first time. : ))

IMG_4652_cb IMG_4650_cb

And we had purikura lololol

IMG_4656_cb IMG_4657_cb

He's also a preschool teacher btw... but after witnessing this scene, I'm starting to doubt... just kidding haha

After that, we had dinner at a Hawaiian restaurant. : ) It was actually his father's birthday as well, so he had to catch up for their family dinner asap, hehe! : )

...

...

......

My family and I window shopped together, and we loved this retro Japanese-inspired shop : )

IMG_4668_cb IMG_4671_cb

IMG_4670_cb

All those candies *_*

IMG_4673_cb IMG_4672_cb

And I took lots of photos of things that I found kawaii, hehe~

IMG_4675_cb IMG_4674_cb

Selfieeee

IMG_4696_cb

After that, Gilbert and I went to Starbucks to have some coffee and we talked about his love life. Hahaha just kidding :))

IMG_4706_cb

And I finally got the time to open the package that Anne gave to Justin : ) Will show the contents of the kawaii magazine next time! :D

Hope you guys enjoyed the post as much as I enjoyed writing! Heehee ~
