Prismatic World Tour Tokyo + Katy Perry is my INSPIRATION

Hello everyone~! Stealing a few hours from work time so I could write all my raw feelings after Katy's Prismatic World Tour in Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium.

(BTW, this is also the same place where Kawaii Matsuri happened 2 years ago during Kawaii Leaders shoot! WAO)

I just want to share one of my biggest fangirl experiences here in Japan. For the second time, I watched Katy Perry live. The first time was during U-Express in Saitama Super Arena last year, where she performed together with Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, SNSD, and others . : )

Katy Perry has been such a huge inspiration to me and I even consider her as a "mom" / "bestfriend" / "older sister" all at the same time, haha. It probably sounds wrong / weird to some but that's how I look up to Katy-san.

When I watched her documentary called "Part of Me", I really could relate to her at that time. Have you ever felt that "peak" in your life when you're experiencing both highs and lows at the same time? That happened to me. Witnessing how Katy Perry grew from "I kissed a girl" days to "Firework", then to Prism era... I felt like I grew together with her.  I know that Katy will not probably be able to read this but I'm just really happy to share how much Katy has "inspired" me to become "an inspiration" like her (hence my blog objectives written above, かわいい + inspiration). It is easier to inspire someone (and become a fan / follower), but to be able to inspire someone to want to become a source of inspiration too, for me.. that is something else. No other musician has influenced me this much!

"I just want to be the first Katy Perry. I don't want to be the next anybody. I just want to be Katy."

What I love about Katy's music is that it has the power to move hearts and motivate people. Many people probably think of Katy as an overnight success, but she's really not. She's come a long way, and her story is very inspirational to me.

She does not give up easily and I feel that she has a very strong personal relationship with The Big Guy Up There. ^^

On our way ~ my cousin Gilbert is also a BIG BIG fan of Katy Perry!! He dreams of singing with Katy in the future. ^^

His friend Jack also came with us.  If it weren't for Jack who reserved the tickets for three of us, we wouldn't be able to buy the VIP ones! ;_;

Thank you Jack!!

Thank you Katy for inspiring many to embrace their own individuality. You inspired a girl from the Philippines to do the same. : )

What I like most about Katy is her CONFIDENCE. And the message she wants to deliver with her work would always be "Be yourself". No matter how quirky, colorful, or rainbowholic you are, it's okay.

You're a firework. <3

  1. I love Katy Perry too! I love her song Wide Awake and Fireworks. Such an inspirational song. And she is pretty too (^-^)

    I remember using the song Firework to do a motivational talk for a program to my fellow friends who feel down after they fail to get a job after 6 months graduation. Seeing your post reminds me how Katy Perry helps me and my friends to go through those phase (^-^)
