Life Updates + Kawaii Funko Pops + Cherry Blossoms & Flowers in Saitama

Hello folks! Good evening from Japan! : )

I got inspired to blog spontaneously again (even if I have a lot of pending tasks huhu) because I’m currently with Ashley right now and she’s drafting a post on Our Kawaii Tokyo. Ashley’s blogging drive is so infectious haha!

Just wanna share some life updates. I’ve posted most of the photos here on social media though, hehe!

Say hello to the “pretty” side of my JLM office, haha.

Don’t be tricked by my photos because reality looks notably far from this picture-perfect corner. : ))

Random Happenings  in Kaila’s Life:

(Please note that these are not listed in order, hahaha. Lazy blogger yes)

  1. Had a very important and blessed meeting at Harajuku last week. Wishing all the best for Kawaii PH huhu! #PUSH !!
  2. Got to try sakura “anman” from Family Mart Japan (convenience store).
  3. Finally brought out my precious totoro washi tapes I bought from Donguri Garden @ Tokyo Character Street (Tokyo Station)!
  4. So after taking photos of a sakura tree in its full bloom glory, grandpa noticed how amazed I was that he decided to give me a branch from a sakura-looking tree (red petals??) (please check bottom right photo haha)

I went home smiling like a fool and people looked at me as if I stole this thing lolololol

Thank you super nice grandpa huhu the puzzled / judging looks I got = definitely worth it haha

  5. Went to IKEA Japan for the first time with my sissie-in-law, Claire nee-chan!
  6. After months and months of without massage (massage is a basic necessity for people prone to stress like me lol), I finally had my well-deserved session from our favorite Thai Massage Salon! Huhuhu. When I go to Thailand, I’ll make sure I’ll destress the stress out of me lol!
  7. Discovered a new hotspring / onsen place in Saitama with my brother.
  8. First time to try and taste “Earl Grey Cake” with my cousin.
  9. Omg.. “Milky” yogurt does exist!!! (reference: center left photo)

Flower loveeee : )

Kawaii Fund + Random Daily Kawaii Snaps (February 2015 Week 3)

Hello everybody! Good evening from Japan : )

Just a quick post before I continue with my work again!

As of the moment, I’m working on OurKawaii.TokyoJapan Lover Me StoreCardcaptor Sakura Club and the “Kawaii Fund“.

Days are crazy as usual and I feel like I need around 2-3 bodies to accomplish everything. But nevertheless, I’ll do my best with my current body, haha!

Also before anything else, just want to take everyone who takes time to leave comments! Promise, I mentally reply. Haha. ありがちゅ!

Here are the teaser graphics of our Kawaii Fund project. Illustrated by ChiChi / Little Miss Paintbrush.

Honestly, I get scared a lot of times although I tend to appear relaxed and confident. I’m the type of person who would dive into meaningful projects / campaigns only knowing maybe 40-50% of it.The rest of the percentage is just courage (in Tagalog, pikit-mata lang ako talaga haha). But for this time, I know for sure that courage alone will not be enough. I need help.. WE need help. Lots of it. Hope you could support our vision and objectives for our fund-raising project called “Kawaii Fund”.

This will be open for everyone around the world. If you want another dream convention in the future / more kawaii gatherings / self-published / funded projects.. it is not only up to the Kawaii.PH team, it’s up to everyone’s collective effort and support. My mom would often ask me, why do I even stress myself out with projects that do not even pay or compensate me. Why so much passion lololol.

The Little Things in Every Day + Nico Panda at Harajuku + Kawaii Noms at Fujiya Easter Carnival and MORE~

Hello, hello! It’s 1:00 in the morning here (edit: super fail, I fell asleep & I’m actually re-editing this after 3 days! *_*) and I’m still awake even though my body tells me to sleep..  :what: Brain, for once, stop thinking!! Heart, stop worrying! >_<

Anyway.. I thought I should start writing about this post now. Had this in the drafts folder for a week already -_-

Finally, spring has come! I can finally wear more comfortable clothes and I don’t need to pile up so much like before.

I have been waiting patiently for this season to come because winter was really gloomy for me. Seeing flowers, being able to walk more comfortably (without shivering so much), and the like have been such a treat for me.  :333: And I can finally wear my favorite creative socks + flats! No more hassling boots~

I went out to take photos for my work. Thought I should pair up this really cute pair of watermelon socks (SPINNS Harajuku) with this heart onepiece!

Also recently, I have been dressing up quite special for no.. special reason. I guess the extra effort improves my mood more. I’ve been feeling quite lazy these days (or more like tired?) because of everything that has been going on. But I am happy :”)

Adrenaline Rush + HFW no. 15 + Be@rbrick Surprise with Project 1/6 + ETC

こんにちは〜! :yay:

I’m currently taking a break from working on my current project. Phew~ 大変だけど、嬉しいです

I can’t believe how so many things can happen in just a month!  :blank: Seriously, sometimes I think that days have become too short. *_*

Anyway.. here’s a rather complicated outfit photo for my HFW (Harajuku Fashion Walk) work for! I just finished the video today and I’m very pleased with the outcome. Please wait for the article to come out, hihi~

Coordinate details:

JSG Unicorn Hoodie, MOMO knit top, Les Fantaisies Tights, Rilakkuma Canvas Tote bag from, SWIMMER shoes

Last January, though it was my birthday month.. I was actually having a LOT of  down days because of personal reasons. YUP, optimistic people like me do get depressed too.  :x: but…  after drowning myself with endless self-motivation quotes & engaging myself with various creative outlets…… each and every single day, I could feel that I was getting better and better. ^^

I guess that what they say is true… hitting “rock bottom” in your life really does empower you more. It’s the PERFECT time you can pause & reflect, filter your thoughts & drain all the negative emotions, reflect & refocus your goals. Then once you’re all set & you feel that* adrenaline rush, you can restart your car engine until it works again.. then you continue your trip or you take the detour you planned instead. Hehe~ don’t worry when I really feel 10000% better (can’t wait for the day when I’d just laugh about the unfortunate things that happened to me), I’ll write a motivational post for my readers (who might be experiencing something similar). I’ve always wanted to share a more personal / relatable entry anyway.  ^^v

On a different note, something really, really great happened a few days ago.. but I have to keep it for myself first. ;__;

Never thought there would be a day I’d prepare a short Rainbowholic presentation.. and in Japan! The meeting went so great that I even had a spontaneous crybaby moment out of  happiness. Yes, I also cry when I’m too happy (ureshisugi)!!  Had to contain myself after because my eyeliner wasn’t waterproof.. hahaha #girlproblems

Another fact about myself is.. I actually like doing presentations.  Reminds me of my advertising thesis days.. which is still probably the best presentation I did (yet) with the best team I could ever be with (hi Gracie & Patrick!!) ^^

Easy Kawaii D.I.Y. time with modes4u’s puffy Rilakkuma stickers + Instacollage on iPad (best for making mood boards, etc.)  ^^
